International Financial Review

For the past nine years I’ve had the pleasure of working with the IFR (International Financial Review) published by Thomson Reuters. This is a top quality publication with a worldwide distribution and I love working for these guys. Their briefs usually consist of suited bankers involved in the most bazar situations, material I can really get my teeth into. I also produce artwork of the “ IFR Bank of the year”  award winners which takes pride of place in the publication. Here’s a few of my favourites ones that have featured over the years the years.

Here’s Bob Diamond with Barclays back in 2011

BNP Paribas were the winners in 2012

Financial News, Junior Bankers get stuck on the staircase.

Financial News artwork.  Better late than never, I’ve finally gotten round to posting some more images. Thought it may be interesting to some to see these initial drafts. The end piece supported a double page spread that featured in the Financial News on their job satisfaction survey pages. The headline for this one was “Junior bankers get stuck on the staircase leading to the top”
This is the 1st draft

and the 2nd draft
Here’s the completed artwork. You’ll notice some of the staff are holding up face masks, this followed the same theme from the front page and previous double page spread about “stress and depression in the world of finance” Tough one to draw this, lots of angles and perspective to figure out, but really enjoyed the working process from draft to completion.
